Remy Blaire: FINTECH.TV contributor Errol Coleman joins us live from the trading floor. Errol, good afternoon to you. What a change from where we were ahead of the market open. We are looking at red right across the board for equities and the VIX skyrocketing. We are looking at this rotation out of tech names, and the reaction to [unclear: “Iron Man Qualcomm”] not helping matters. So tell us about what you’re seeing right now and what Cboe traders are reacting to.
Errol Coleman: Good afternoon, Remy. It’s been a crazy morning. If I had to give the noise level on Cboe a rating out of ten, it’s been an 11 out of ten all morning. The volatility has been going crazy. The S&P pit has been going crazy. We’ve seen the market making lower lows. Something that stands out is the fact that the volatility index hit a new high today of about 28.09, just shy of 30, and that’s something we haven’t really seen all year. So if we can get back up to these levels, maybe we have [unclear: “a little bit more fortitude”]. But the market is still trying its best to digest all the new decisions that are being made this week with earnings and especially elections.
Remy Blaire: And Errol, as you mentioned, what a turnaround, what a reversal compared to yesterday’s close. One name we’re paying attention to in particular as we continue to monitor AI is Nvidia. That name has turned lower on the year, and its odds of ending the year as the world’s most valuable company have plunged on Polymarket. So take us through the action that we’re looking at today.
Errol Coleman: It’s crazy, Remy, because I remember when Apple became one of the first trillion-dollar companies. That was about seven or eight years ago, and it feels like it was yesterday. Now we’re in newer conversations about what is going to be the most valuable company. Polymarket is pricing in Apple to be the most valuable company at about 68%. Polymarket is pricing in Nvidia to be the most valuable at 28%. But as you know, these are all probabilities, these are all percentages, and that’s exactly what Polymarket has given us right now: Nvidia 28%, Apple 68%. Let’s see what the market decides.
Remy Blaire: Without a crystal ball, we won’t know until the year ends, but something to keep our eyes on. Thank you so much for joining us this afternoon.
Errol Coleman: Thank you, Remy.
