How SILQ Is Taking B2B Financing Beyond Its Own Platform

Live at Money20/20 Middle East, Dalia Kamar, head of investor and startup programs at Money20/20 Global, talks with Mohammed Aldossary, co-founder and CEO of SILQ. Dalia Kamar notes that Aldossary announced a 500 million riyal fund for SME financing on the main stage the day before. Aldossary says that over seven years of building a B2B e-commerce platform, his team has seen more than 50,000 businesses and processed more than 20 billion in transactions.

Aldossary says many merchants had the ambition and opportunity to grow but were held back by cash flow, not by the quality of their customers or their digital systems. He says they kept asking for more liquidity to unlock better margins. He describes SILQ’s role shifting from operator to enabler: first making transactions digital, then making liquidity available, and now looking at how AI can automate that process.

Aldossary says he has deployed more than 2 billion within SILQ’s ecosystem through flexible payment, and that buyers and sellers kept asking how it could work outside that ecosystem. He says the new fund lets SILQ take its learnings, technology and deployment approach to the wider B2B economy and make access to capital more universal.
