Why Public Companies Are Turning to Creators to Reach Investors

Finance and tech creators gathered at the New York Stock Exchange for the NYSE Creator Summit, as more public companies turn to creators to reach investors and shareholders. Ashley Mastronardi speaks with Akash Pasricha, anchor at The Information TV and emcee of the event, about the summit and the growing influence of creators in financial and tech media.

Pasricha describes the summit as a celebration of people who turn on a camera every day and, in many cases, build their channels on their own, both inside and outside traditional media organizations. He says the collective following of the group across X, YouTube, and Instagram is astonishing, and that public companies are increasingly turning to creators to get their message across. He points to Apple, which now invites more creators, including streamers, to its keynote events, calling creators the way to get attention right now.

Pasricha also discusses The Information TV, which launched a little over a year ago with a mission to produce an hour of video every day across four segments, modeled on traditional television but built independently. He says the show has hosted CEOs of public companies and more than 450 executives, entrepreneurs, and founders, adding that there is no louder time to be covering tech than right now.
