AI Agents Could Put $1.4 Trillion Back Into Consumers’ Hands

AI agents could reshape the financial system by reducing fees, automating financial decisions and shifting more power toward consumers. Joseph Chalom, CEO of Sharplink, joins Remy Blaire to discuss his outlook for what he describes as the next financial revolution and why blockchain infrastructure could play a critical role in making it possible.

Chalom says the convergence of AI agents, stablecoins, tokenized assets and decentralized finance could allow consumers to automatically move idle cash, build portfolios and find lower cost financial products. He argues that agents could also reduce friction across services such as cross border payments, potentially putting significant savings back into consumers’ hands.

But the transformation could also challenge traditional financial institutions built on closed legacy systems. Chalom explains why digitally native companies may have an advantage as finance moves toward open systems and why he believes AI agents will ultimately need instant, programmable digital asset rails to transact and execute on-chain.
