AMD Hits $1 Trillion as Chip Stocks Lead the Market Rally

U.S. stocks are rebounding to start the week, with technology and semiconductors leading the move higher. FINTECH.TV correspondent Mark Payton joins Remy Blaire live from the Cboe trading floor as the S&P 500 gains about 1% and the Nasdaq climbs roughly 1.5%.

Chip stocks are among the biggest movers, with AMD gaining around 9% after briefly crossing a $1 trillion market value for the first time, while Intel rises around 11%. Despite the sizable moves across equities, the VIX remains contained around 15.

Meanwhile, oil prices are retreating toward two week lows amid optimism surrounding U.S. Iran talks and an increase in Saudi oil exports. Treasury yields are also easing, with the 10 year falling back below 5%, helping create a more favorable tone across markets.
