Welcome back to Taking Stock. Super Group is a global digital gaming and sports betting company. Joining me now is its CFO. Alinda fun Bike and Ink Ojibwa. Welcome to the New York Stock Exchange.
Thank you very much.
And we're right by your trading post.
Amazing.
Yeah, right. Super group seeing the stock proudly up there. So tell me, give us a business overview of super group.
Yeah. Thank you very much for having us back. So we are super excited to be back here with you guys today at the Stock Exchange. Supergroup has as two divisions its iGaming and sports betting business with a global brand sports brand called Betway. Um, that's really gained exceptional momentum over a period of years now.
But what really sets us aside from our competitors is our diversification. We operate in 17 legal, regulated markets across the world, most continents basically. And and to sum it up, we are a sports led business, but we are casino driven.
And you have a presence in Africa, a pretty big presence in Africa. How did you get involved in the market there?
I mean, we've been in Africa since 2013, 2015. I mean, it's a big market overall, and you've seen that growth over the last couple of 2 to 5 years. Net net, a lot of key drivers is population growth. Big ten from a gambling perspective. You have an economy growth where 13 of the fastest growing economies are from Africa.
And most recently Nigeria just got included in the Footsie index. And that's big. And Aliko Dangote, the richest man in Africa, just got added. Just did a listing for Dangote refinery. So there's a lot of big momentum overall in Africa.
Is it true that you operate in every continent basically.
Yes, I think not. Antarctica.
How do you run a business.
On every continent especially? There's different regulatory environments, I would imagine. How do you manage all of that?
Yeah. So a very good question. We obviously focus a lot first on the the structure of the of the market. So it's important to note the legalities around gaming, the taxes that is being applied. But most importantly, to see where we could win. You know, the important thing for us is to have a localized presence where our brands resonate and we and we have to make sure that our technology is fit for purpose for that market.
And all of that together forms a market that is, is where we can put more investment into in order to drive the long term profitability of that market.
And, Linda, I understand that you just reported Q2 earnings. What should investors take away from that?
Yes, it was an exceptionally good quarter. It was a lot of things starting to win for us. More importantly, our customer buys. We have this high recurring revenue, persistent revenue stream coming in from our customer base. So our retention models is exceptional. We have also a very good engagement with our customers.
So it's not always only about adding the the acquisition funnel and participating and making sure that we just add the new customers. It's not about volume, it's about the value of the customers. We assess every customer's profitability and and that gives us a long time, long term profitability of that stream.
And then just to wrap it up, the what really resonated and go to go to two for us in 2026 is that operating leverage. We've really brought the operational efficiencies together, and we're trading at a very good margin. Now.
What is the opportunity for investors here?
Well, it is a.
Lot to say.
When you look at the fact that we're operating in every continent, every continent has an incremental growth coming, coming up. Africa is big, growing 20 plus percentage. And overall, I mean, I talked earlier about the Tam, the population growth, the economy growth. And what's key for us as well is if you look at Canada or North America, look at Europe.
They're all growing and they're all in different stages of maturity for us as a business. And like Linda alluded to it, the operating leverage is starting to kick in and we have a longer runway for growth.
Okay, Inc. a lot of fun. Thank you so much for joining us and taking stock.
Thank you very much for your time.
