Solana Leads the Next Wave of Onchain Trading

Birdeye’s H1 2026 report highlights a major shift in onchain markets, with Solana continuing to strengthen its position as a leading venue for trading. The network captured an average 54% share of global spot DEX volume, while its stablecoin supply grew 154% from January 2025. Onchain payment activity also accelerated, with card payments processing five times more volume than the previous year.

Joining in is DJ Hà Trang, Head of Research at Birdeye, to break down the latest trends across stablecoins, real-world assets, tokenized equities and decentralized trading. She explains how RWAs are growing significantly faster than stablecoins and why Solana is emerging as an important venue for stablecoin payments beyond traditional peer-to-peer transfers.

The conversation also explores the rapid development of tokenized gold and equities, including the growing competition between Paxos Gold and Tether Gold, as well as the rise of tokenized stocks following the launch of tokenized SpaceX shares. With tokenization, payments and decentralized trading all expanding, the data points to a broader shift toward onchain financial infrastructure.
