Remy: Historically bullish October month for crypto is bringing milestones when it comes to stable coins and tokenization on Tuesday, $2 trillion asset manager BNY Mellon completed the first ever tokenized US Treasury trip party transaction on a major platform and Citadel Securities purchased a two-year US Treasury note and a tokenized representation of the note was recorded directly on the private digital ledger. This does follow last week's announcement from tech giant Samsung, which will enable stable. Access to 82 million Galaxy devices here in the US and the appetite for the is sure to be on full display at the upcoming money 2020 conference in Vegas. Market movers will be live on the ground bringing you full coverage. We joining me this morning as we count down to Vegas is Katy Perry, chief marketing officer for Zero hash and author of Ticker Shock. Good morning, Katie. Thank you so much for joining us. So I do want to start the conversation by looking at stablecoins. When you talk to institutional clients right now, what are they saying about digital dollars?
Katie Perry: Stablecoins, Remy, and, and thank you for having me on. Stablecoins are really becoming foundational to a lot of businesses, uh, from payments companies and banks like you referenced to, to FinTech, even, even gaming platforms. Uh, Zero has just completed a study with Ava Labs, uh, that, uh, researched, uh, the thoughts and behaviors of executives on the institutional side. Stablecoins is cited as the number one use case where they see investment dollars going in the next year. Uh, and really what's, what's fascinating about stablecoins is their ability to flexibly solve so many business challenges for these companies. It could be speed of payments, it could be cost of payments, it could be user acquisition, depending on the segment you're in, your role, really. Uh, these digital assets are being used as a way for these companies to solve challenges and problems that they're facing. And so we're moving to a place where it's thinking about these digital assets and digital forms of money as a software, really, less so a tradable asset.
Remy: Yeah, and Katie, we know that the CFTC, the CSSCC, they've been so busy unveiling plenty of rulemaking proposals since the Clarity Act cloture vote failed. But how are institutional clients out there eyeing the regulatory backdrop and how are banks approaching crypto right now?
Katie Perry: Remy, they're continuing to march forward as they have been. Uh, Zero hash has been around almost a decade, so long before a lot of this rulemaking and policy momentum was happening. And so the build continues, you know, things that that happen in DC, there's ebbs and flows. Our team is actually down in DC this week. It's DC FinTech Week, uh, lots of institutional executives there. Uh, one really interesting theme that is emerging from DC FinTech Week that we're hearing on the ground from our team that's there is, uh, thinking about policymaking in regards to Agentic finance. So, when, when AI agents are able to transact, move money, invest, as you've seen, uh, in brokerage platforms like Robinhood really Leaning into these tools, there needs to be ways to set, uh, rules to make sure there's a trust layer. And so there's a lot of conversations not only happening about the rulemaking that's going on right now, but also down the line as these conversations around agentic finance continue to build, they're already Thinking about, OK, what, what does this mean for AI agents in relation to the money movement, which I think is really fascinating. And the takeaway is that layer of trust still needs to be there with digital assets. Uh, it's a programmable way to bake that in. And so people are already looking ahead, not, not just to what's being discussed now, but what's going to be discussed next.
Remy: And speaking of shifting your focus, many in the fintech world are looking at Vegas. Money 2020 USA is kicking off this weekend. So give us a sense of some of the key conversations that you're looking forward to and what can we expect from Zero Hash at the event.
Katie Perry: Super excited to go there and I know I'll see you there, Remy, as you mentioned a little while ago, there's really a very clear. Divergence between, uh, FinTech, traditionally, which has been sort of the backbone of Money 2020, and digital assets, it's sort of all becoming one thing, uh, personalities mixing, companies mixing, content mixing. So a lot of the panels are really combining those two themes. Obviously, Agentic is also another big one. what I thought was interesting as well was the, uh, the volume of, uh, big. Tech players, typically, you know, outside of quote unquote FinTech, you got the Googles of the world there and others. Uh, that's all coming together in one giant melting pot. So super excited about that. Uh, Zero Hash will have an announcement Monday regarding a new product offering, so we'll have to keep you guys posted on that. And on a lighter note, uh, we're taking some clients to the Bills game on Sunday, which I am personally excited about as Josh Allen's number one fan.
Remy: Well, Katie, so much to look forward to and as you mentioned, once we hit the ground running, the announcements as well as the headlines will be coming hard and fast. So looking forward to seeing you on the ground in Vegas, Katie, and thank you so much for joining us today.
Katie Perry: Thanks, Remy. See you there.
