Bitcoin, Ethereum, Solana & the Next Crypto Rally

Bitcoin and the broader crypto market are showing renewed momentum after a sharp rally fueled by more than $3 billion in recent liquidations, with short positions accounting for the vast majority. Andy Baehr, Managing Director of Asset Management at GSR, joins the discussion from the SALT Wyoming conference to break down the market’s latest move and whether this could mark the beginning of a sustained trend. Baehr’s title and GSR role are confirmed by GSR and multiple industry sources.

Baehr explains how compressed volatility and heavy short positioning helped accelerate Bitcoin’s move, while Ethereum and Solana posted even stronger gains. He also discusses GSR’s Core3 strategy, which has maintained an overweight position in Ethereum and Solana, and why growing blockchain adoption, regulatory clarity, and institutional participation could support the next phase of the market.

Beyond price action, the conversation looks at the financial infrastructure being built around digital assets. Tokenized equities and fixed-income products are becoming major themes as institutions work to bring traditional financial markets on-chain. Baehr also weighs in on the potential U.S. expansion of Hyperliquid and what greater regulatory clarity could mean for the next chapter of crypto trading.
