U.S. Stocks Rally as Treasury Yields and Oil Prices Fall

U.S. stocks are heading into the trading day with another positive setup as S&P 500, Dow and Nasdaq futures move higher. FinTech TV correspondent Mark Payton joins Remy from the Cboe trading floor in Chicago to break down the market open, with the Nasdaq coming off another record close and the S&P 500 trading close to its all time high.

Payton explains why investors remain relatively calm despite elevated interest rates, oil prices and inflation concerns. The 10 year Treasury yield has pulled back toward 5.27%, while WTI and Brent crude are also moving lower, creating a more supportive backdrop for equities. AI remains a major driver of the rally, with Nvidia continuing to climb as investors look ahead to the next earnings season.

The latest economic data is also giving traders plenty to watch. ADP data shows private hiring has accelerated for five consecutive weeks, while the U.S. trade deficit widened sharply in August as imports surged. Payton says increased imports of industrial supplies and capital goods could reflect continued investment in AI infrastructure and data centers.

With the Federal Reserve minutes due this week and inflation data ahead, investors are weighing whether strong corporate earnings, continued business investment and the AI boom can keep the market rally moving forward.
