Dhrupad Trivedi joins me now, President and CEO at A10 Networks. He and his colleague just brought about a close to today's trading here on Wall Street by ringing the closing bell. Congratulations and nice to see you, sir. Thank you. For people who are unfamiliar with your work at A10, what do you do? And big picture, what brings you down here to the New York Stock Exchange today?
Great question. So, 8N Networks, as a company, provides high-performance networking and security solutions to very critical mission applications, which include supporting large networks and complex data transfers. As a company, we have been around more than 20 years, developing the differentiation around those attributes and being trusted by the biggest brands. Today, what we are celebrating is our differentiation is more relevant than ever before as people contemplate how to use AI effectively because we bring a working knowledge of that for a long period of time. So we are celebrating a new transition where we are positioned to accelerate growth and be more successful as that market transitions to more AI usage, and we are uniquely positioned as we have launched new products and acquired assets to do that.
That's amazing. Congratulations to that. And to the point of acquiring, you just acquired recently an AI security company. What does that add to A10, and why make that move right now?
Great question. So, we recently acquired a company called Droge AI, which does AI security. As a company, our products were doing security, including for AI, but we were not covering the entire life cycle. And what I mean by that is that with Droge AI, we now have the capability to do security for AI at creation stage, build stage, deployment and testing stage. And so it gives us an acceleration of our product roadmap to service our customers and solve their problems faster.
There is a massive build out underway for the general world of artificial intelligence related infrastructure. What do you think most sets ATEN apart?
What is unique about us is our know-how in actually operating some of the biggest networks in the world, globally, gives us insight into how traffic patterns evolve, how to drive low-latency, high-performance networks. And as the world moves to more AI traffic, there is a new type of traffic which is more in volume, more complicated, and needs a lot of interconnections where those things become even more important. So our differentiation that we have built over 20 years is extremely relevant to AI in terms of how do you monitor the use of AI, how do you optimize the cost, and how do you do it in a responsible way where you have guardrails and protection against things that can also go wrong.
Yeah, so speaking of those guardrails, talk to me about some of the ways that you best prepare for threats, things like AI agents as well as, and I want to make sure I get this correct, post-quantum cryptography.
No, great question. So I think, you know, what you hear a lot about AI, of course, is the potential and the business benefits. I think what, from a security perspective, what we have been doing is A, because of AI, there are new types of threats that did not exist before in networks, right? Such as somebody could use prompts to break into your data or leak private information. So we have strengthened our software tools to better detect and remediate those kind of threats. Second is to your point, with things like post-quantum cryptography, what is happening is as much as AI is a tool for good, it can also be used to launch cyber attacks. And we have seen examples of that obviously quite publicly in the last few quarters. So what we do there is really we are part of the consortiums that are focused on being on the good side of how do you detect and avoid bad use of AI, whether it's inadvertent or systematic.
